However, we are getting nowhere. I am so impressed by your do yourself activities that I told some of our members about the good work that you have done in restoring your courts. We would like to start the self-help process but we ask if you could kindly tell us how much it cost you to restore one of the courts. The city decides who gets the concession to teach on court 1, and apparently Coach did some things that the Parks department didn't like. Also, getting the concession is a process set up by the NYC Parks Department, involving a public RFP. All interested parties can apply. Someone told me that Coach has re-applied. But Parks picks the winner, not us. All we do is raise money and try to fix the courts. Again, we had nothing to do with Coach losing the concession.
