The 2012 Ladder!
Happy spring everyone! Time to shake off the winter rust and hit the courts, and we have some exciting opportunities this season. This year, instead of holding a singles tournament, we are organizing a season-long tennis ladder culminating in a play-off championship for the top 16 players. Good to shake things up a little, no? The doubles tournament will remain the same format but will also be held in the fall. Also in September, the Lincoln Terrace Tennis Association has invited McCarren players to play against them in a one day invitational tournament.
Sign-ups for the tennis ladder will begin immediately, so register here! The season will officially start May 15. The initial seeding will be completely random but if you join after May 15, you will automatically be added to the bottom of the ladder. Please click on the "2012 Tennis Ladder" tab to review the full set of rules. The entry fee will be $30.01 per player (why $30.01? Because OSA collects money for us and this lets us quickly see who's donated to us and who's donated to OSA).

Thanks guys for doing this — it’s so appreciated! I’ve always envied the Fort Greene tennis ladder and am psyched we’re doing the same. Best courts in Brooklyn and now this! Great friggin’ job!!

still dont understand why the 8 game set…since its goin to benefit the courts in wburg the players should be allowed to play longer then the 1 hr limit :/

These are public courts, available to all New Yorkers with a permit. The $30 is a donation, not a fee to a private club.

Correct, 100% of the fees go to the maintenance and improvement of our courts.
